英語の動詞をおさらい
be動詞と一般動詞の違い
英語の動詞には、be動詞と一般動詞の2種類あります。be 動詞は、日本語で言うところの「です」の部分で、is,am,are の3つを主語によって使い分けます。一般動詞は、例えば「歩く」「寝る」などの動作を表します。
動詞の過去形
英語の動詞には、現在形、過去形、過去分詞形の3つの変化形があります。多くの動詞は、原形に ed を付ける「規則動詞」です。
しかし、過去形、過去分詞形が違う形に変形する動詞もあります。これらを「不規則動詞」と言います。
例えば、be動詞 is/am, are の過去形は was, were で、過去分詞形は、been となります。be動詞は不規則動詞の仲間です。
Go 、 have、 take などは、よく使う不規則動詞ですね。
これらの 英語の動詞の活用は覚えるしかありません。気が遠くなりそうですが、ほとんどの動詞は、原形に ed を付けるだけの規則動詞なので大丈夫です。
